While the works in our upcoming show, pose their own unique challenges in terms of skill and lighting, the images produced thus far, have reminded me that some things exist beyond the scope of sight.


Much in the same way that Eadweard Muybridge’s stop motion work proved that horses completely leave the ground while running or video cameras offer real time feedback for decision making during sporting events, the camera often provides us with things that our eyes cannot.


Thus, I have to question, are we sometimes blind to our surroundings? Or, do we just need to take a step back, and look at things through someone something else’s eyes?
